What is a moonglade?

A moonglade is a rare poetic term that refers to the bright reflection of moonlight on a body of water. It also refers to the track a full moon makes on water when it rises. We chose it because we wanted something that encompassed nature and the beach. We know it sounds a little hippie, but we like it!

So, we got our start back in 2017 in the beachside community of Oceanside, California. Our founder, Jason, a non-drinker, wanted an invigorating, bubbly thirst quencher that was not a sugary, syrupy soda or a dry soda water. He started experimenting in his kitchen and researching recipes for ginger beer. He found the original English ginger beer recipe was quite simple and refreshing-- a simple blend of ginger, lemons and cane sugar. When it was lightly carbonated it made a delicious, refreshing drink that could be enjoyed as a healthier alternative to soft drinks and a craft beverage to stand up to all those craft beers everyone was talking about. 

Fast forward to 2024 and Moonglade Brews has enjoyed some modest growth in the craft soda market with their signature craft sodas: Moonglade Ginger Beer and Commander Ron's Root Beer.
